How to spend a day travelling around Eastbourne on a beautiful summer ☼ day!
If you are looking for something relaxing to do, take a small drive and head to Eastbourne, Wellington. There is something there that everyone will enjoy.
It is actually a beautiful area with cafes, a park, a beach and plenty of nice scenery. There’s also a pond where little kids will enjoy feeding the ducks and eels.
Eastbourne has a big café with an ice cream parlor attached, so we stopped and had lunch there. I ordered the halloumi pizza which was actually so good I wanted more! We also got the pulled pork fries which was also delicious.
Just outside the café, there are a couple of fields where families seemed to be playing cricket or just laying there enjoying the sun.
Down at the beach there were quite a few people jumping off the wharf into the water, building sandcastles or just soaking up the sun.
If you are feeling adventurous you can hire kayaks and paddle boards from Wildfinder in Days Bay, Eastbourne. Hiring fees start at $25 which is pretty good for some fun. Follow my link below to find out more about hiring water gear.
There are self guided heritage walking trails around Eastbourne to discover too if you are not keen on water sports. There are 4 walking trails which explain the towns development and the people who took part in it.
So head out to this lovely part of Wellington on the next sunshiny day and enjoy!
